Infant with chrons?

Since he was a lot younger I have been concerned over the family history of ulcertive colitis and chrons disease (including my mother, they are watching me for any signs of it also, I am due a scope soon) its concernign because his boughts with diarea cramping and a lot of mucous in his stools, he also has a lot of problems gaining weight no matter what he eats….
I am worried!! He has an appointment with the stand in gi doc thursday because his reg one is not in town, and where hes not sleeping at all and always acting like he is in pain, I felt it was important to get him seen soon…..
Does it sound like chrons?

Given the family history, it’s possible that your baby has Crohn’s disease, but there are other diseases that are more likely. Has he ever been tested for celiac disease? This is another common source for the symptoms you describe. In the meantime, good luck with your son……..hope you find soome help for him soon.
