Mold Allergy Treatment That Will Help You Feel Better

There is a little known problem called severe mold allergy or mold poisoning. When you live in certain parts of the United States that are known to be very wet, you can have problems with mold allergies and not even know it. Those living in the Southern states are often found to suffer from mold allergies. The South is a very damp, humid climate. The air is constantly ridden with moisture and when you add to it the fact that it rains constantly during the summer, you’ve got one bad equation. You can end up with black molds in your home and become quite ill from it.

Toxic black mold spores can be growing in between walls in your home and eating away at your house and your health. The biggest problem with black mold allergy is that no one is very good at spotting it. Unfortunately, the cause of death wasn’t understood until the individual was dead.

A mold allergy can kill you, that’s all there is to it. The whole problem may start out, seemingly harmless. You may be sneezing, coughing or wheezing, thinking you have a common cold or asthma attack. While these symptoms may be treated with other medications, the chances are that they will come back when they are caused by a mold allergy.

It takes a lot of illness to find out that you have a mold allergy, most of the time. It’s quite sad that Doctors aren’t better versed in the problems that mold illness cause and what to look for, to begin with. The testing for mold allergy poisoning is quite expensive to pay for. However, when you’ve come to the end of your rope and you just can’t figure out what is wrong with you, you’ll gladly pay anything to find out what’s wrong and start feeling better.

Many mold allergy treatments exist. They all depend on what your needs are. If you have a mild to moderate mold allergy, you may be relieved with mold allergy over the counter medications. If you are suffering from an overdose of black mold, however, you will need to start taking one of the anti fungals like a miconazole. If you have a truly toxic level, you may need blood transfusions.

If you have allergies to mold that are on the same level as people who have hay fever or other seasonal allergies, you may be able to combat it with a cromolyn spray. Cromolyn is the only allergy medication targeted specifically at mold allergies. Cromolyn is available over the counter in a nasal mist but must be prescribed by a doctor for oral form.

Using Cromolyn as a mold allergy treatment will be effective in relieving some of the initial, onset symptoms such as sneezing, watery eyes and congestion. However, if you know that you have a severe mold allergy, you should avoid areas that will cause you duress at all cost.
